Our Story
GuruTrans started with a simple problem. One of our founders traveled to Paris. He had studied French for three years. But when he tried to order food, ask for directions, or chat with locals, things got tricky. The textbook French he learned didn't match real-life talk.
He tried Google Translate. It gave word-for-word translations. But it missed the slang. It didn't understand jokes. It couldn't handle Gen Z speak or local dialects. The translations felt robotic and cold.
That night in a cozy Parisian café, an idea was born. What if we built a translator that actually gets how people talk? Not just the words, but the feeling behind them?
We gathered a small team of language nerds and AI engineers. Some of us speak five languages. Some grew up moving between countries. All of us know the pain of being lost in translation.
After months of testing, failing, and trying again, GuruTrans was born. We trained our AI on real conversations, memes, song lyrics, movie scripts, and social media posts. We wanted it to understand how people actually communicate in 2024.
