These terms govern your use of GuruTrans translation tools and services. By using GuruTrans, you agree to these terms. If you disagree with any part, please don't use our service.

What GuruTrans Does

GuruTrans provides AI-powered translation tools for various languages, scripts, and fun formats (like Shakespearean English, Pirate speak, and more). Our tools are designed for:

• Creative projects and entertainment
• General-purpose translation assistance
• Educational exploration of languages

Your Account

Many features work without an account. If you create one:

• Use accurate information when signing up
• Keep your password secure—don't share it
• You're responsible for all activity under your account
• Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
• One account per person (no sharing or selling accounts)

Acceptable Use

Use GuruTrans responsibly. You agree NOT to:

• Generate harmful content: No hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that promotes violence
• Spam or abuse: No automated mass requests, scraping, or overwhelming our servers
• Illegal activities: Don't use translations for fraud, deception, or any unlawful purpose
• Impersonation: Don't pretend translations are from official sources when they're not
• Circumvent limits: Don't bypass usage limits, rate limiting, or access controls
• Resell without permission: Don't commercialize our service without a business agreement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Translation Accuracy Disclaimer

Important: GuruTrans uses AI for translations. AI is powerful but not perfect. Our translations:

• May contain errors, especially for complex or specialized content
• Should not be used for legal, medical, or safety-critical documents
• Are not substitutes for professional human translators
• May not capture all cultural nuances or idioms perfectly

For important documents, always have a qualified human translator review the output. GuruTrans is a tool to assist, not replace, professional translation services.

Your Content

You own the text you input and the translations you generate. By using GuruTrans:

• You confirm you have the right to translate the content you submit
• You're responsible for ensuring your content doesn't violate others' rights
• We don't claim ownership of your input or output
• We don't store your translations (see our Privacy Policy)

Paid Services & Refunds

For premium features and subscriptions:

• Prices are displayed before purchase and may change with notice
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Refunds may be available within 7 days of purchase if you haven't used premium features extensively
• Credits and one-time purchases are generally non-refundable once used
• We process payments through Stripe with industry-standard security

Service Availability

We strive for reliable service, but:

• We don't guarantee 100% uptime—maintenance and issues happen
• Features may change, be updated, or discontinued
• Third-party AI services we depend on may have their own outages
• We'll try to give notice for significant changes when possible

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• GuruTrans is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We're not liable for damages from translation errors, service interruptions, or misuse of translations
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or $100 if you haven't paid anything)
• We're not responsible for third-party content or services

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so these may not fully apply to you.

Intellectual Property

GuruTrans, our logo, design, and underlying technology are our property. You may not:

• Copy or redistribute our code or design
• Use our branding without permission
• Reverse engineer our systems
• Create derivative products that compete with GuruTrans

Termination

Either party can end this agreement:

• You can stop using GuruTrans and delete your account anytime
• We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Upon termination, your right to use the service ends
• Sections about liability, IP, and disputes survive termination

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. When we do:

• We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top
• For significant changes, we'll notify users via email or site banner
• Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms
